This lovely little book offers a unique take on Scotland’s most well-known meteorological phenomenon by Ron Butlin, the award-winning poet and author who was Edinburgh Makar (Poet Laureate) from 2008 to 2014. It’s widely reported that Eskimos have over 50 words for snow, so it's no surprise that there are a similar amount of Scottish words for rain and the most colourful of these are described here in humorous and memorable verse, imaginatively accompanied with illustrations by Tim Kirby.
