Bespoke Paintings and Prints

We had the pleasure of commissioning esteemed local artist Ritchie Collins to capture the two Edinburgh streets that Curiouser calls home. His original paintings are full of charm and intricate detail, bringing these familiar places to life in such a wonderful way.

We’re delighted to share prints of these works with you. Our shops are part of vibrant neighbourhoods, surrounded by breathtaking sights and inspiring independent businesses, and we feel so lucky to be rooted here in Edinburgh. Seeing our streets painted with such beauty is truly a joy.

Meet the Maker: The Ticketyboo Coo

Meet the Maker: The Ticketyboo Coo

Elaine McLeod is the creative behind the Edinburgh-based jewellery brand The Ticketyboo Coo. With two teenage daughters, an affectionate dog and a degree in biology, she found her calling six years ago in casting a variety of Scottish Shells in silver. We are obsessed with her jewellery and so asked Elaine a few questions for you to get to know her a little bit better. What an amazing Scottish jewellery maker!

Curiouser is turning 15!

15 years feels like quite an achievement. This birthday blog offers us the chance to look back at where we have come from and reflect on some of our achievements. It has been a wonderful 15 years so thank you for your support! Small business appreciation from us all in Edinburgh.

Proud History of Broughton

Proud History of Broughton

Broughton was the area of Edinburgh famous for its public queer activism and it was sometimes referred to as "the pink triangle". Did you know that the first Gay Centre in Scotland opened 50 years ago on Broughton Street? In 1975 The Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Centre was opposite our shop, at 60 Broughton Street, where Pickles is located now.
