Sound of Jura is an open edition print that has been taken from an original abstract painting by Arie Vardi. The Sound of Jura can be found on the Island of Jura, in Argyll and Bute off the west coast of Scotland. This print has a beautiful and bright colour palette of blues and greens, highlighted with white and flashes of yellow. With a view over the shore to the mainland beyond, this calming image would be a beautiful addition to any room.
Chile born Arie Vardi moved to Jerusalem to study Graphic Design. Following graduation in 1991 he moved to Scotland. Many of his paintings are inspired by his love of Perthshire, Scotland and the Mediterranean. This is reflected in the vibrant colour palette he uses in his work. Arie paints using acrylic, oils and mixed media, and often experiments with light and the way it moves across a scene creating shadows and pops of colour.
